This month in Mini Mills…
Bible Story: Zacchaeus – Luke 19:1-10
Big Idea: Jesus loves us no matter what.
Zacchaeus was a tax collector who stole a lot of money from people – definitely not a nice guy. But when he met Jesus and realized how much Jesus loved him no matter what, his whole life changed! He gave back all the money he stole from people, and then some! He became a very kind and generous man who showed love to others just like Jesus showed love to him.
Unconditional love is a powerful thing. This month at home, intentionally find ways to model and express unconditional love in your family, using the phrases, “I love you no matter what,” and “Jesus loves you no matter what.”
Share this story with your child at home from the Jesus Storybook Bible (pgs 264-271)
Nothing (spread arms wide) can separate us (push hands in front of self) from God’s (point up) love (bear hug). Romans 8:39 (open hands like book)
A blessing to pray over your child this month:
(Child’s name), may you know God as your everlasting Father. May you rest in His care and unfailing love.
