We are in a turning point year for Mill City Church! We would like to have a conversation with you about the goals and needs of this community to invite you into making a financial investment in what God is doing through Mill City Church.

Why Invest in Mill City?

Three primary reasons:
  1. God is working through Mill City to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in many ways—through missional communities and partnerships in NE Minneapolis with other churches and organizations.

  2. We believe generosity is what God wants for us, not from us. It helps us grow in our relationship with Christ when we give generously.

  3. We made a commitment to help make our building, the Commons, more accessible when we bought it, and we currently have people in our church who can’t access it.

What are Mill City’s financial needs?

We want to ask you to consider two opportunities to invest financially in Mill City:

Ministry Needs
  • Our approved budget for this fiscal year needs about $3,500 more per month to sustain our current ministry.
One-Time Space & Saving Improvements - $115,000 
  • $75,000 - Mill City Commons Improvements - We need to make improvements to the Mill City Commons so it can be more accessible and useful to more people.

  • $20,000 - Savings Increases - Add to our current emergency savings to put Mill City in a better financial position for the future.

  • $20,000 - Debt Reduction - Paying off our second mortgage would reduce our annual budget by approximately $8,000 per year.


Ministry Need

General Fund Giving Increase Needed 2016-2017 (ongoing)

We need $3,500 per month more than we have been receiving. That amount could breakdown like this:

We have approximately 300 adults who are regularly participating in worship with Mill City Church. If everyone of us gave $12 more per month, we would have enough for our General Fund. If everyone made a donation of $384 ($32/mo) towards our Space and Savings improvements, we would meet our fundraising goal. Mill City’s goal is 100% participation in giving from everyone who calls Mill City home.
