THE MILL is a place for Middle & High School students to belong, connect, grow, and have fun!
Just as flour is refined at a mill, so too are we refined by Christ at THE MILL.
"I, the Lord, will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are My people,' and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.'" Zechariah 13:9
Each age group in Family Life at Mill City has 3 goals that inform and guide the programming and resources provided to the students and families in that age bracket. The goals for middle & high school students are simple. We want our students to learn:
- Church is fun.
- Faith is personal.
- Scripture is relevant.
What to Expect at THE MILL:
Fun Events: Throughout the year there will be events full of fun, community and experiencing God together.
Sunday Morning Connection: 3rd, 4th & 5th Sundays will include fun games, snacks, and small group discussion on topics pertaining directly to life as a middle & high schooler. 1st & 2nd Sundays will be spent in the auditorium, worshipping together and learning together during the sermon. On these weeks, students also have the option of serving in Mini Mills.
One-on-One Mentoring: Each student has the option of being matched with a mentor who will take you out for ice cream, movies, or other fun things at least once a month. Students can invite their mentors to their sporting events, concerts, etc. The mentor exists to be the #1 fan of the student as well as a partner to parents. Interested in being mentored? Wednesday Night Youth Group // NORTHEAST STUDENTS
On Wednesdays, we join with other youth from other Northeast churches as part of an interdenominational youth ministry called Northeast Students (NES). We meet from 6:30-8pm at 752 Harding St NE. Each week, there are awesome games, small group discussion, and practical teaching from one of the NES youth leaders. We also plan fun activities, service projects, and special events outside of Wednesday nights.
