Welcome to Mill City Church!

We're glad you're here.

We meet at 10am every Sunday (after a 9am Equipping Hour) at Sheridan School, a public elementary school in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis. We choose to worship at a public school because we love the Northeast Minneapolis community, and we believe that God has called us to love the school in the name of Jesus.

We encourage people to grab some coffee, make a name tag, and head into the auditorium where we gather to worship together. We’ll sing songs of worship to God, celebrating God’s faithfulness and what God has done and is doing in our community. Following worship, we’ll share what’s happening in our community through announcements and an offering.

After offering, we have what we call “community time;” we take a few minutes for conversation so people can meet others sitting around them. Our hope is that everyone at Mill City would feel known and loved.

Once community time is complete, one of our pastors will share a message from the Bible. We believe that knowing God’s words through the Bible gives us tools to participate in God’s mission, and also helps us remove barriers to living that mission.

Following the message, we’ll sing a few more songs and have an opportunity to respond to what we heard from God during our time together.

Every Sunday, we celebrate communion together symbolically during the service, and then continue a time of communion by eating lunch together on the Second Sunday of the month at a local restaurant.

Sunday morning worship is just a part of being “the church,” and our hope is that what we experience in our worship service equips and compels us to participate with what God is doing around us on a daily basis! We hope you’ll join us!
