The hope and prayer of the Housing and Homelessness Initiative is that everyone in our city can have an affordable place to call home.

Together the Mill City Church community is invited to come together around two goals:

  • To grow in our awareness of the affordable housing shortage and the struggles facing people experiencing homelessness.
  • To take wise and informed action that can further our goal to see everyone in our city have an affordable place to call home.

There has been a guide team of 25 people who have discerned together our initial action steps as a community and there are two invitations we begin our first phase of responding to how God has been leading us.

Consider joining us in one or both ways – sign up below!

1 – Housing and Homelessness Challenge

The housing and homelessness challenge is going to take place this summer. Your challenge – if you choose to accept it – will include steps to learn, connect, serve and give when it comes to supporting the unhoused community in our city. Of course there will be fun prizes for those who complete each the challenge! It will be fun for the whole family!

Sign up here if you want to learn more about the challenge!

2 – Property Investment Discernment Team

We are going to begin the process of discerning how the MCC community could engage in the housing and homelessness crisis through the purchase of and/or investment in property. If this is an area of interest or expertise or if you sense God leading you in this direction we would love to have you join the discernment team.
