Mill City Groups

Join a group (or two) that can help you connect with others!

New to Mill City Groups

New to Mill City groups are designed as an intentional space for those who are newer to Mill City to get to know others who are also newer to our community. During this time we’ll discuss sermons and share our stories as an opportunity to connect with other group members. This group is highly relational and discussion based.

Every week we will spend time getting to know each other through community time questions (similar to the worship services) as well as engage with recent sermons through Dwelling in the Word, which is a way of engaging with Scripture, spiritually submitting to the text as one way God speaks to us with a willingness to be shaped by what God might want to say through the Scripture. It is listening for what God may be saying through a specific scripture passage. We will use these questions to guide our listening:

What grabs your attention in this passage?

What questions would you want to ask?

Where and in what ways do I feel the Spirit inviting me to listen and respond this week?

We’ll also leave some time at the end of each gathering to talk about ways to get more connected to the larger Mill City community and answer any questions you have.

New to Mill City groups are a six week commitment.

The Movie Watchers group meets twice a month over Zoom to discuss a movie including its themes, connections to culture, as well as asking the question: what is the gospel of the movie? The group watches movies of all types, from classics to current Oscar nominees.

Open Table Small Group (2x a month on Fridays) – Led by Lorna & Nate Untiedt

This small group is based on Acts 2:42-47, which describes how Christ followers lived out their faiths together. Our vision is to build deep relationships by creating a safe and welcoming place to share life with each other. This is a casual space to rest, grow, and serve each other together. We’ll share a meal, short reflection time and end with prayer. Open to all ages!
