Mill City Church participates with God in our neighborhood through community partnerships. We recognize that community development is slow work, but we believe that through long-lasting partnerships, rather than one-off projects, we can best participate in how God is restoring this city.
Las Estrellas Dual School (formerly Sheridan)
Las Estrellas is a Dual Immersion Elementary School in Northeast Minneapolis. This school was Mill City’s first partnership in the com– munity. Little did we know that once they agreed to be the place where we hosted our worship services, a long-lasting reciprocal partnership would develop. We believe that Las Estrellas School — the staff, students, and families — helps us live out our mission to love our community in the name of Jesus.
Every Meal (Formerly The Sheridan Story)
Mill City Church is proud to be the birthplace of Every Meal! The mission of Every Meal is to fight child hunger through school and com– munity partnerships. What started in 2010 has now turned into a growing non-profit, serving the Twin Cities and Greater Minne- sota. Through these partnerships, a week- end’s food supply is given to kids to sustain them over the weekend, so they can come to school on Monday morning ready to learn.
Elim Preschool
Elim Preschool was founded in 1961 by Elim Church in the heart of Northeast Minneapo- lis. Elim Preschool is one of the oldest op- erating preschools in Minneapolis and has become an integral part of the community. Elim Preschool strives to provide a high- quality, affordable early childhood program in a faith-based environment for children 3 to 5 years old which will prepare them socially and academically for kindergarten. Elim Pre- school is housed at our worship location: 685 13th Ave Northeast.

Little Kitchen FoodShelf
This neighborhood food shelf, housed in The Grace Center for Community Life, serves 1000+ individuals every month. Offering fresh organic produce, meats, dairy, bakery, and dry goods and 2-3 days of food for families with emergency needs, the LKFS offers hope and help to all its monthly visitors. The Little Kitchen Food Shelf is a no-boundaries, no- restrictions food shelf serving Northeast Min- neapolis and beyond.
Clare Housing
Clare Housing provides affordable housing, supportive services, and compassionate care to HIV-positive individuals. For many who suffer from homelessness, Clare Housing is the home they have been looking for. When people are housed, health improves, medical costs go down, and the further spread of HIV is prevented. Groups from Mill City eat meals with the apartment complex residents, help with ongoing needs, and seek to be a family for those who don’t have one
My Very Own Bed
My Very Own Bed gives children their very own bed—a place to sleep, dream, and re- charge. All too often, children transitioning to permanent housing are sleeping on the floor, on an air mattress, or sharing a bed with their parents or a sibling. By providing new beds and Dream Kits, they give children a space of their own while supporting produc- tive sleep to help them learn and grow. My Very Own Bed has its headquarters in North- east Minneapolis.
IMBY MN
IMBY flips the switch on “Not in my Back Yard” and says: In My Back Yard. IMBY sup- ports the efforts of organizations and cities to build and provide affordable housing wher- ever they can. They advocate for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) as a housing solution. An ADU is a unit that is typically attached
or separate to an existing house or struc- ture, but built on existing land. IMBY strives to make Minnesota a place where folks can come and know they are not only welcome but supported.
Converge
Converge is a movement of churches working to help people meet, know and follow Jesus. We do this by starting and strengthening churches together worldwide. For over 165 years we’ve helped churches bring life change to communities in the U.S. and around the world through church planting and multiplication, leadership training and coaching and global missions.
